Fourth quarter grant applications were presented and voted on at the November 28, 2023 AZSFWC Board meeting. Funding for the grants is available through sales of our special Conserving Wildlife license plate. More information about the license plate and how you can obtain one can be found HERE.
One grant applicaton was received and approved:
$1,150 was awarded to the Valley of the Sun Quail Forever for the Robbins Butte Pollinators project. Pollinator’s are an important part of our wildlife ecosystem. Working with Arizona game and Fish, the Arizona botanical garden, the federal government, and Quail forever national, we have put together and sourced pollinator seeds native to Arizona in a mix that should thrive at Robbins Butte. Valley of the Sun Quail Forever (VOSQF) has sourced and will purchase the native seeds. AZGFD will plant the seeds on 10 acres in Robbins Butte in December. VOSQF is a funding partner.
